The first time you log in, graph8 guides you through an automated setup that populates your workspace with intelligence about your company, market, and competitors — then drops you onto a personal Home dashboard that picks one of two starting paths based on what you want to do first.

## Step 1: Enter Your Domain

After creating your account, you'll be asked to enter your company's website domain (e.g., `yourcompany.com`).

graph8 uses this to:
- Scan your website content, messaging, and positioning
- Identify your products, services, and value propositions
- Research your competitors and market landscape
- Analyze your target audience and industry

## Step 2: Auto-Generated Intelligence

Once you submit your domain, graph8 generates **40+ documents** about your company in the background. This typically takes 3–5 minutes and includes:

| Document Type | What It Contains |
|---------------|-----------------|
| **Company Profile** | Your mission, products, key differentiators |
| **Competitor Analysis** | Direct and indirect competitors with positioning comparison |
| **Market Overview** | Industry trends, market size, growth drivers |
| **ICP Profiles** | Ideal customer profiles based on your positioning |
| **Buyer Personas** | Detailed personas with pain points, motivations, and objections |
| **Messaging Frameworks** | Value props, elevator pitches, and email angles |
| **Battle Cards** | Competitive positioning for sales conversations |

These documents power graph8's AI across the entire platform — from campaign generation to email personalization to lead scoring.

## Step 3: Pick a Starting Path

Once intelligence finishes generating, your Home dashboard shows a **Welcome** card with the two most common first moves:

| Path | Best for | What it does |
|------|----------|--------------|
| **Build a contact list** | "I want to find people to reach out to" | Walks you into prospecting with filters seeded from your ICP — you end up with a saved list ready for sequences |
| **Create a campaign idea** | "I want to plan an outbound motion before I prospect" | Walks you into campaign generation — graph8 proposes 5 campaigns aligned to your positioning, you pick one and graph8 builds the supporting documents |

You can also dismiss the welcome and explore the platform on your own. The Welcome card only shows once — your second login lands you on a daily-briefing version of Home instead.

> **Tip:**
> If you're not sure which path to start with: **Build a contact list** is the right answer for most teams. Campaign planning becomes much sharper once you have a real ICP-aligned list to plan around.

## Step 4: Review and Refine the Intelligence

Your generated documents are good starting drafts — they get better with edits and your own context.

1. Navigate to **Studio → Global** to review the generated documents
2. Edit any documents that need corrections or additions
3. Add your own context (case studies, product briefs, top-performing emails) — graph8's AI uses everything in Global Context when it generates campaigns, emails, and replies

The more context you provide, the better graph8's outputs get. See [Global Context](https://docs.graph8.com/studio/global/) for the full document catalog.

## Step 5: Invite Your Team

Go to **Settings → Team → Invite** to add team members. Assign roles:

- **Admin** — Full access to settings, billing, and team management
- **Manager** — Access to analytics, team reporting, and campaign management
- **SDR** — Access to prospecting, sequences, and inbox
