Signals Overview

Signals show you which prospects and companies are actively interested in your product. graph8 captures intent from three sources — website visitors, form submissions, and keyword/topic tracking — then scores each contact and company so you can prioritize outreach.

The Three Signal Sources

SourceWhat It Captures
VisitorsWho’s browsing your website — identified contacts and anonymous companies resolved via IP
FormsWho’s submitting forms on your site — demo requests, contact forms, newsletter signups
IntentWho’s engaging with content matching your keywords — both on your site (first-party) and across the web (web intent from news articles, reviews, competitor pages)

Together, these give you a complete picture of buying behavior — from your own website and across the web.

Signal Score

Every contact and company gets a signal score from 0 to 100 based on their combined activity. The score is weighted toward recent, high-value actions:

ActivityWeight
Form submission25 points
Email reply20 points
Keyword intent match15 points
Topic intent match10 points
Page visit5 points

Recency Bonus

Recent activity scores higher:

Last ActivityBonus
Within 3 days+20 points
Within 7 days+10 points
Within 14 days+5 points
Older than 14 daysNo bonus

A contact who submitted a demo form yesterday scores much higher than one who visited a page three weeks ago.

graph8 compares the current score to the 30–60 day average and flags the trend:

  • Rising — score increased 20%+ (prospect is heating up)
  • Stable — score within 20% of baseline
  • Declining — score dropped 20%+ (prospect going cold)

Where Signals Appear

Contact Profiles

Open any contact to see their signal panel:

  • Overall signal score and trend
  • Keyword and topic intents with intensity badges (High / Medium / Low)
  • Recent page visits with timestamps
  • Email engagement timeline
  • Form submissions and meeting bookings

Company Profiles

Company signals aggregate activity from all contacts at that company. If three people from the same company visited your pricing page this week, the company signal reflects that combined intent.

Company signals also include anonymous visitor data — website visits from the company’s IP range that haven’t been attributed to a specific contact yet.

Signal Intensity

Individual signals are rated by recency:

IntensityMeaning
HighActivity in the last 7 days
MediumActivity 8–14 days ago
LowActivity 15–30 days ago

Signals older than 30 days are excluded from scoring.
