Mission 3: Master Account Intelligence

What you’ll learn

  • How to run Account Intelligence on a target account
  • How to read and use the six research categories
  • How to use Copilot to get quick answers about any account
  • How to turn intelligence into outreach talking points

Run Account Intelligence

  1. Pick a high-priority account

Go to Audiences —> Accounts and sort by Total Score (highest first). Click on an account with a score of 60 or above.

  2. Trigger intelligence

On the account detail page, click the Run Intelligence button. graph8 researches the company across multiple sources. This takes 1-2 minutes.

  3. Wait for completion

A progress indicator shows the research running. When all six categories show a green checkmark, intelligence is complete.

Review the Six Research Categories

Once intelligence completes, you see six research categories on the account page:

CategoryWhat it containsHow to use it
Company OverviewBusiness summary, founding, headquarters, sizeOpening context for cold outreach
Products & ServicesWhat they sell, key offeringsAlign your pitch to their business model
Recent NewsFunding, leadership changes, product launchesTimely hooks for personalization
Technology StackTools and platforms they useIdentify integration opportunities
CompetitorsKey competitors and market positionDifferentiation talking points
Pain PointsIndustry challenges and company-specific issuesLead with relevance in your messaging
  1. Read each category

Click through the six tabs on the account detail page. Each category contains a summary with key bullet points.

  2. Note outreach hooks

Look for items you can reference in your emails or calls:

    • A recent funding round (Recent News)
    • A tool they use that your product integrates with (Technology Stack)
    • A specific challenge mentioned (Pain Points)
  3. Check stakeholder mapping

Within the account, click the Contacts subtab. Review the Buying Role assignments (Champion, Decision Maker, Influencer, End User) and Engagement Score for each contact.

Use Copilot for Quick Insights

  1. Open Copilot

Click the Copilot icon in the bottom-right corner of any page (or press the keyboard shortcut).

  2. Ask about an account

    Try these commands:

    What you needExample prompt
Account summary”What do we know about Acme Corp?”
Key contacts”Who are the decision makers at Acme Corp?”
Pain points”What challenges does Acme Corp face?”
    Competitors”Who competes with Acme Corp?”
Recent activity”What’s happened recently at Acme Corp?”
  3. Use the answers

Copilot pulls from the intelligence data you generated. Copy relevant insights directly into your email drafts or call notes.

Turn Intelligence into Talking Points

  1. Pick 2-3 hooks per account

From the intelligence categories, select the most relevant data points. A strong cold email uses one company-specific hook in the opening line.

  2. Match hooks to personas

Go to Audiences —> Personas to see buyer persona profiles. Match your talking points to the persona’s pain points and motivations.

  3. Draft personalized messaging

Use your hooks and persona insights to craft outreach that feels researched, not generic. Reference specifics: “I saw your Series B announcement” is stronger than “I noticed your company is growing.”

Mission 3 Complete

You can now generate deep account research on demand, navigate the six intelligence categories, and use Copilot to get instant insights before any outreach.
