Mission 4: Close Deals Faster

What you’ll learn

  • How to track deal velocity and spot stalled deals
  • How to keep deals updated efficiently with Copilot
  • How to export deal summaries for internal reviews

Step 1: Track Deal Velocity

Deal velocity tells you how long each opportunity spends in each pipeline stage. Use it to catch deals before they go cold.

  1. Navigate to Accounts and click the Deals subtab to view your full pipeline.

  2. Use the My Deals toggle to filter to your deals only.

  3. Review the key velocity metrics for each deal:

    • Days in Stage — how long the deal has been in its current stage
    • Stage Entry Date — when the deal entered the current stage
    • Total Deal Value — sum of all deals on the account
  4. Sort by Days in Stage (descending) to surface your most stalled deals first.

Step 2: Update Deals with Copilot

Use natural language to keep your pipeline current without navigating through forms.

  1. Open Copilot from the bottom-right corner of Studio.

  2. Use these commands to update deals in real time:

    ActionCopilot Command
Move a deal”Move the Acme deal to Negotiation stage”
Update value”Set Acme deal value to $85,000”
Add a note”Add note to Acme deal: Legal review in progress, expect redlines by Friday”
Add a contact”Add Maria Lopez as an influencer at Acme Corp”
Update close date”Set Acme expected close date to March 30”
  3. Confirm each update — Copilot will show you the change before applying it.

Step 3: Export Deal Summaries

Pull together everything you know about a deal for internal reviews, QBRs, or manager check-ins.

  1. From the account detail page, open Copilot.

  2. Ask: “Give me a full summary of the Acme Corp deal” to get a consolidated view that includes:

    • Current deal stage and value
    • Key stakeholders and their roles
    • Recent meeting notes and action items
    • Account intelligence highlights
  3. Copy the summary for use in pipeline reviews, forecast calls, or manager updates.

  4. For a quick pipeline overview, ask: “Show me all my deals in Proposal stage” to review deals by stage.
